WRITING A POSTCARD TO BARNABY BROCKET 20.01.2021

Grade 7 students read and commented on John Boyne’s “The Terrible That Happened to Barnaby Brocket” in their Turkish lessons. While reading the book about a 8-year-old boy who can float and goes on different adventures all around the world, our students realized why being unbiased towards different people and events is important as well as how tolerance can make our lives more beautiful. Besides, the actress Arzu Surici Kirecci once again reminded our students that people should be proud of their differences and discover themselves by asking questions and sharing her knowledge. After discussing the importance of respecting ourselves and being aware of our own desires, our students wrote a beautiful postcard to Barnaby Brocket, the main character of the book who always sends postcards to his family. We thank Arzu Surici Kirecci for her valuable contributions.
