All of the people in our country and around the world are experiencing extraordinary circumstances and are striving to defeat COVID-19. Of course, our priority is to keep healthy during these hard times as we do not know how long they will last. On the other hand, we maintain our lives by complying with certain limitations and taking necessary precautions to protect our health. Today is April 23rd, the hundredth anniversary of our national sovereignty… As distance education period has been initiated on March 16th, 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, our students will have to celebrate the 100th anniversary of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, which was presented to all children by our Great Leader Ataturk, in their homes. We sincerely hope that our children will not delay their joy because of the fear and anxiety caused by the pandemic and would like to emphasize once again that they are our future. We have so much to learn from them and are aware that their happiness, hopes, dreams and spirit cannot be quarantined. Also, we know that you have so many responsibilities to fulfil during this period of remote education. However, these days will pass and the most important thing is staying healthy and keeping hope. You, as our valuable educators, are the ones to keep this joy and hope alive during these tough times. As Sofra/Compass Group, we are very sorry not to be able to celebrate this special day together at our school. We are looking forward to meet you again on healthy days. Happy National Sovereignty and Children’s Day! Regards,
