RECYCLING THE WASTE OIL 27.04.2021

The “StRanGErS/Social Influencers”, which consists of 4 MS and 1 HS students, have been working to raise awareness and take action about the Project on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Global Social Leaders) since October, 2020 through their Instagram account. Their goal is to draw attention to the Climate Change, Responsible Production and Consumption, which are included in the Sustainable Development Goals, and to encourage everyone to fulfil their responsibilities regarding this issue.

Waste management has been more important during the pandemic especially because of the changes in our lifestyles. The members of “StRanGErS” aim to raise awareness among their followers by sharing practical methods of recycling waste food and oil at home and helping them understand that taking action is not that hard. Also, the team members plant saplings on behalf of the followers, who participate in their projects, to contribute to the project of “Isikkent Wood”, which has been initiated in December, 2019 in collaboration the Aegean Forest Foundation.
