ONLINE MEETING WITH THE STUDENTS OF URLA PMC DEMİRGURES PRIMARY SCHOOL 21.02.2021

This weekend, “Strangers” met online with the students of Urla PMC Demirgures Primary School, who saw the activities carried out by our students on social media and contacted them. Urla District Agriculture and Forestry Director Ibrahim Yılmaz also attended the meeting, which was hosted by 2A students of Urla PMC Demirgures Primary School. Mr. Yılmaz explained how important it is to compost and recycle food waste at home, how throwing domestic food waste in the bin harms our economy and domestic food waste damages the environment by giving off methane. He also described an easy way to compost at home with basic materials. In the meeting, our students also informed the students of Urla PMC Demirgures Primary School about “Bokashi Composting” and said, “We were one, but now we’re two!” before finishing the meeting. The aim of our students is to raise more awareness and grow with others. We will share how greatly they contribute to this cause with their tiny hands while they compost food waste together with their little friends. We thank 2A students of Urla PMC Demirgures Primary School, their valuable teacher Onay Durmaz and Urla District Agriculture and Forestry Director Ibrahim Yılmaz very much for this precious collaboration!
