LEARNING ABOUT DIFFERENT CULTURES FROM PARENTS 17.10.2022

Grade 3 students learned about different cultures and values from our parents as part of their first unit. Ehtesham Mohammed visited Grade 3 students and talked about the Indian lifestyle, ceremonies, and family values. Parker Zhang explained the notions of adaptation, empathy, justice, kindness, honesty, and respect for family members, which form the basis of Chinese ethical values. Leviza Khmil shared that Ukrainian culture is based on the unity of family and collaboration. Sarah Hinton emphasized the significance of time, which is the most important value of American culture. With the questions they asked our guests, our students got the chance to inquire about different cultures and gained awareness about the similarities and differences between our culture and other cultures. At the end of the event, our students once again realized the importance of being respectful and sensitive while living together.
