IEK MATHEMATICS SYMPOSIUM 14.05.2016

“Işıkkent Private Schools Middle School Mathematics Symposium” was held successfully with the participation of different private school in Izmir. Under the leadership of IEK Mathematics Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Bukova Güzel, who works at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Education, an environment was provided for the students to use their knowledge in Maths. The students who came from different schools got the chance to work and socialise together with others. They also participated in fun mathematics activities which helped them understand how important mathematics is. While our Mathematics Department teachers were giving presentations on “Maths is Alive in IEK”, the teachers from different private schools shared their knowledge in Maths with the participants.
