HS COMMUNITY AND SERVICES CLUB SUPPORTS “İÇERİDE ÇOCUK VAR” 08.02.2017

High School Community and Services Club initiated another project for the children. The goal is to raise awareness on the children who grow up in penal institutions and collect money through selling the t-shirts designed by the CAS students.

There are approximately 500 children aged between 0-6 in penal institutions for women, which are located in 8 different cities around Turkey. These children go through their most essential developmental period locked up and they witness all kinds of criminal profile. It is a known fact that these social and environmental factors, which students are being exposed to, damage their adolescence and future life. Reducing this damage, and integrating them into the society, depend on increasing the knowledge and awareness levels of their mothers as well as educating them, and improving the living conditions of the institutions. The goal of the “İçinde Çocuk Var” project, initiated by Youth Re-autonomy Foundation of Turkey, is to ensure that these children have the same educational opportunities as their peers; to draw attention to the issue and create awareness about the subject in our society; and to improve the physical conditions of children in prison.

We know that through education, it is possible to change everything. High School Community and Services Club students calls for your support.
