HAVING FUN AND LEARNING AT THE SAME TIME 29.09.2020

Our ELC students talked about the number of people in their families, the things that they enjoy as a family and the activities they like to do by looking at their family photos while covering the unit “Who We Are”. Then, they drew pictures about their families and introduced their families to others by sharing their family photos. They completed the project ‘’Ben/Kendim’’ (Me/Myself), learned the concept of “Portrait”, drew pictures of their faces in black and white after observing their reflections in the mirror, talked about different face shapes and examined how their eyes, mouths, noses and ears are. They made observations about the leaves of trees in the garden, talked about how leaves change color when autumn comes and wrote their names with the leaves they collected from the school garden. They baked their work and colored it in line with the theme “Creative Dots”. They learned the basic dynamic indications in music (forte & piano) and how to use them through different examples in their Music lessons. They tried to find answers to the following questions: “Which instruments are played in a classical orchestra?”, “What does a conductor do?”, “What is the name of the baton that conductors use?”. Then, they acted as a conductor one by one and played the game “forte and piano” with bells. Also, they started to learn the anthem called ‘’Cumhuriyet Hürriyet Demek’’. Our students had a lot of fun while learning and playing outdoors.
