GIVING HOPE TO CHILDREN WITH CANCER 24.03.2021

Ceylin Kubalı, who has been studying at our school since kindergarten and is now a Grade 10 student, was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 13 and went abroad to get treatment. After her treatment of 1.5 years, she came back to Turkey at the age of 15 and has been continuing her education in a determined way since then. As she had to go abroad for her treatment because of the inadequate healthcare opportunities in our country and experienced how volunteers at the hospital, where she got treated for cancer, were very helpful, Ceylin is now working to be a hope for children, who suffer from cancer and have low-income families. Ceylin says, “I know how challenging it is to be a cancer patient, that’s why I want to contribute to the lives of others. As we all know, a hope is more than enough” and creates handmade products for children with cancer. Then, she donates the Money she earns to “Izmir Hasta Cocuk Evleri Dernegi” (“The Foundation for Sick Children’s Houses”). Ceylin makes us very proud by being a role model with her perseverance, fighting spirit and big heart.
