We celebrated International Francophonie Day with the theme of Emotions and Francophonie this year. MS and HS students took part in the festival which was enlivened by French songs, Victor Hugo’s poems, and dances. In the event participated by the whole school community, we had the chance to once again discover the importance of French and its positive effects on art and emotions. Francophonie Week will continue to be celebrated with various activities at school. Francophonie is celebrated every year in France and worldwide by 300 million francophones who celebrate the French language as well as the differences between cultures. Scientific and cultural activities, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, competitions, concerts, and sports events are organized to celebrate this day on five different continents. Francophonie refers to sharing the same language and French is the fifth official language in 32 countries and governments.
