FREE INTELLECTUALS SYMPOSIUM: ÇANAKKALE 21.03.2018

We hosted Prof. Dr. Hasan Mert, who teaches at the Department of History (History of the Turkish Republic) at Ege University, at the third session of this year’s “Free Intellectuals Symposium” organised by the HS Social Sciences Department. The theme of the symposium was “18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs”. Mr. Mert told about the Çanakkale Victory, which was a turning point in the world history; and the Turkish nation’s determining role in this period. Having the thought that we should never forget our martyrs and ancestors, Çanakkale Victory should be well explained especially to the younger generations. By way of this event, we once again commemorated all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland without blinking an eye.
