CHRISTMAS TREE OUT OF WASTE PLASTIC BOTTLES 23.12.2021

As IEK, we find it very important to create generations who are sensitive towards environment and protect the ecosystem they live in. IEK Eco-Club and Enviromates, two school clubs that carry out projects to raise awareness about sustainability, bio-diversity and environmental pollution, collaborated to make a Christmas tree out of plastic bottles they collected for two weeks. By this way, they reused the plastic bottles, which were thrown into the boxes placed around the school. 800 plastic bottles were reused for this project. With this project, our students aimed to draw attention to the reduction of the use of plastic bottles, which pile up in different ecosystems and do not break down easily in nature.
