CELEBRATED LIBRARY WEEK WITH COLORFUL EVENTS 04.04.2022

Our 1st grade students came to the library class with their favourite books and costumes and accessories in which they played the characters of that book. They all introduced their books to each other and then read their books in silence.

Our 2nd graders wrote a classroom story together and read this book to our kindergarten students in our school’s amphitheatre. They also introduced their favourite book characters to their friends. In addition to this, next week, Dilge Güney, who is the author of our unit’s guided reading book “Nöbetçi Oyun Arkadaşı” will be meeting with our students.

Our 3rd grade students watched a presentation by our library teacher, Tansu Hanım on "What is the purpose of a library?" They, then, played a book sorting game together. They also prepared posters of their favourite books with their classroom teachers and organized a board to share with our school community.

Our 4th grade student, watched a presentation by our library teacher, Tansu Hanım on "What is the purpose of a library?” After watching the presentation and playing a book sorting game, they held the event "Reorganize Our Library” in which they redesigned our school library. They illustrated their designs and shared them with the school administration.

In addition to all these, all our primary school students came to school on Friday, April 1, wearing an outfit or accessory that reflects their favourite book character and introduced their characters.

In the PHDs of Book Club, Creative Hands, DIY, Fun Arts and Crafts, our students made bookmarks with the templates given to them, and these bookmarks were distributed to all our students on Friday, April 1st.

We also played a guessing game with our students. When they went to the library classes, our students wrote their estimations about how many books there are in our library, their names and classes on the small papers that are given to them and threw them into the jar there. A karaoke and dance event will be held with our library teacher, Tansu Hanım, with the class of the student who has made the closest guess.
