A FUN DISCUSSION WITH OSMAN BAHADIR 14.12.2021

Our HS IB-DP students read the book entitled “Hüzün Laleleri” while covering their unit on “Turkey and the World in the 20th Century”. Then, they hosted the author of the book, Osman Bahadır, in their class to discuss the concepts of identity, culture, change and perspective while focusing on the book he wrote. After inquiring into how historical facts are covered in novels, our students asked their questions to Osman Bahadır. The author answered the questions of our students and enlightened them with his knowledge on tolerance, universality, scientific approach and empathy. Shortly after his visit to our school, Osman Bahadır touched the hearts of our students and teachers once again with the feedback he provided for each student based on their remarks on the book as well as the hopeful messages he sent them all. We thank him very much and feel excited to read his new books!
