A CLASS VISIT BY THE POLICE OFFICERS 12.01.2023

ELC 1 students learned about different professions and talked about “police work”, which was the one they are most curious about, as part of their unit “Where We Are in Place and Time”. Then, they met with two police officers, who were invited to the classroom. The police officers introduced themselves and their jobs to our students and answered questions such as “What do police officers do?”, “When should we call the police?”, “Why should we not be afraid of the police?” and “What kind of equipment do the police officers need?”. During this visit, our students got information about the functions of the police radio, siren, and announcing systems used in police cars. At the end of the visit, our students asked their questions to the police officers, listened to their answers carefully, and gave the “thank you” cards they made as the ELC 1 students.
