RECOGNIZING CHILDREN'S RIGHTS: MEETING WITH EXPERT GUESTS 11.04.2025

We hosted two very special guests at the school in order to get to know children's rights better, learn about our rights and express ourselves in the right way. First, our students met with Psychologist Pırıl Bilger from UCIM and learned what children's rights are, when these rights can be violated and how they can get support when they need it. This interactive meeting, which took place under Bilger's guidance, once again reminded our students of the importance of creating safe spaces. Then, in a conversation with lawyer Hediye Gökçe Baykal, our students explored how children are protected in the field of law by asking questions they had prepared in advance. In this session, supported by real life examples, they had the opportunity to learn about their rights through concrete examples. Thanks to this meaningful event, our students not only gained knowledge but also better understood how they can defend their rights, how they can make their voices heard and how feeling safe is an important part of their lives.
