PROTECTING CHILDREN IN THE DIGITAL AGE: FROM PEER BULLYING TO CYBER SECURITY 20.11.2025

A comprehensive information session titled “Peer Bullying, Parental Control Programs for Digital Devices, Cyberbullying, and Legal Processes” was held by our Middle School Guidance Department for our middle school parents. During the presentation, our Middle School Psychological Counselor addressed the digital risks adolescents may encounter; our IT Supervisor introduced parental control programs that can be used on digital devices; and Attorney Merve Yiğit discussed cybercrimes, cyberbullying, the risks of identity and personal data theft, as well as families’ legal responsibilities. Parents received valuable guidance on how to support and direct their children with an encouraging and awareness-focused approach—without isolating them from the digital world. In addition, key principles of information technology law and safe internet use were thoroughly explained to our parents.
