PARENT SEMINAR BY TANER GUVENIR 18.02.2017

As part of our parent seminar series “Seminars for Tomorrows”, Isikkent hosted psychiatrist Taner Guvenir on Saturday Feb. 18. In his seminar Dr. Guvenir highlighted the difficulties of being parents in a rapidly changing world where in some areas the generation gap has dropped as low as 5 years. Some of Guvenir’s recommendations to parents wishing to develop relationships with their children included trusting them, getting to know them better, being open and allowing them to take risks. Isikkent High School Prep year student Selin Eken, who made the opening speech for the day was later invited to the stage by Dr. Guvenir, contributing to his examples with her own experiences.
