FREE HYGIENIC PAD PROJECT LAUNCHED IN TOILETS 14.02.2022

Our 11th-grade student, Arı Bektöre, started a project to draw attention to menstrual poverty and the menstrual taboo. Within the scope of the project, a free sanitary pad supply unit was installed in the high school girls' toilet with the support of our school. Although pads are a basic need, they are among the products that many people worldwide cannot access for financial or cultural reasons. People who have this trouble cannot express their problems due to social judgments or taboos. Aiming to raise awareness on this issue, Arı thinks that while informing her peers about this issue, they will support the developments in this field in the future with the consciousness they will gain.
