A CONVERSATION WITH WORLD TRAVELER NIHAL EGE 01.12.2023

As 4th graders, we worked with the central idea of "Learning about those who lived before us helps us understand today and tomorrow" in our “Where we are in Time and Space” unit. In this unit, we got to know some civilizations, our national cultural elements, and examples from different cultures around the world. In accordance with our topic, we invited Ms. Nihal Ege, known for her work to protect our cultural heritage to our school. We learnt about what world cultural heritage means and what UNESCO's World heritage list is from the world traveller Ms. Ege. We also realized our responsibilities to protect our cultural heritage. During her presentation, our students had the opportunity to ask Ms. Nihal Ege the questions they were curious about. They realized the importance of learning about those who lived before us and had a lovely experience that helped them enrich all our class work throughout the unit with what we learnt from our guest speaker.
