KINDNESS AND RESPONSIBILITY MEETING WITH NGOS AT OUR SCHOOL 24.12.2025

As part of our transdisciplinary theme, “How We Organize Ourselves,” our Grade 2 students met with important organisations that work for the benefit of the community. Demet Gürcan from the Aegean Forest Foundation; Çağdaş Yüksel and Belgin Koçu from EÇEV; Dilşad Çörekçioğlu from HAYTAP; and Mahmut Ölmez from the Association for the Protection of Cultural and Ecological Life joined us as guest speakers. Our guests shared valuable information about their work and the impact it has on society. During their presentations, they explained the importance of protecting forests, helping animals, keeping nature clean, and taking responsibility for the environment. Our students actively participated by asking thoughtful questions and showing great curiosity and engagement. Through this experience, students explored the central idea, “Taking responsibility contributes to our own well-being and that of others,” through real-life examples. They realised that taking responsibility from a young age can help make the world a better place. This meaningful gathering, filled with kindness, care for nature, and a sense of responsibility, was both educational and enjoyable for everyone.
