WE CELEBRATED WORLD WATER DAY! 23.03.2026

As part of World Water Day, our middle school students participated in a Water Footprint calculation activity during their Science classes and engaged in discussions around the question of how to spend a day using only 25 liters of water, aiming to raise awareness about responsible water consumption. In addition, a conference led by the High School Science Department was organized to further enhance students’ awareness. During the presentation, data from the United Nations 2025 Water Report and the State Hydraulic Works reports were shared, and key recommendations from the UN report were highlighted. According to the 2026 World Water Day resources, women play a significant role worldwide in water conservation and the balanced use of water. In this context, the importance of women taking part in high-level decision-making processes in water management and ensuring equitable access to clean water was emphasized. Following the sessions, our students identified three habits they can change in their daily lives starting today in order to use water more consciously.
