“THE SNAIL AND THE TAGGING MACHINE” TAKES THE STAGE! 05.11.2026

As part of their unit of inquiry exploring the central idea, “The ways we communicate are part of our individual and social development,” our Grade 2 students read The Snail and the Tagging Machine (Salyangoz ve Sobeleme Makinesi). By examining the characters and their interactions, students reflected on different forms of communication. They then brought the characters to life in a theatrical performance, which they presented to their fellow primary school students and teachers. Throughout the preparation and performance, our students practised using words, body language, and tone of voice effectively. This experience helped them develop a deeper understanding of the importance of expressing themselves in different ways, listening to one another, sharing their feelings and thoughts, and communicating effectively.
