SUCCESS OF THE IŞIKKENT JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CLUB 12.05.2026

This year, our Junior Achievement Club students advanced to the final stage and ranked among the top 10 projects at the İzmir ITU 2nd Young Entrepreneurs Project Competition with their “ZeroTaste” project. At the competition held at İzmir ITU Schools, our students successfully presented their industrial innovation project, “ZeroTaste,” before a jury panel consisting of an Artificial Intelligence Consultant, Project Development Manager, Architect, Bioengineer, and Electrical & Electronics Engineers. Through their project focused on the “production of biodegradable and edible bioplastics derived from natural products,” our students aimed to: • Recycle fruit waste, • Promote a zero-waste and sustainability-oriented approach, • Produce environmentally friendly bioplastics using natural ingredients. We congratulate Bilge Üçkan, Alara Kempton, and Derin Dinçkal for successfully representing our school in the competition. We also thank our other club students for their support and participation, and for taking the opportunity to listen to distinguished professionals from the entrepreneurship sector during the event.
