OUR HIGH SCHOOL PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION VISITED THE “BURNT LAND” 20.05.2026

Known as the “Burnt Land,” Kula offered participants the opportunity to explore its unique natural beauty. Highlights of the excursion included the Kula Volcanoes (Divlitler), the Geopark Museum and Geopark Area, featuring impressive lava formations, as well as the striking Kula Fairy Chimneys, often referred to as “Kuladocia.” The group also discovered the rich historical heritage of Kula, once the second capital of the Germiyanid Principality. During the visit, participants explored landmarks such as the Kurşunlu Mosque, the Beş Ulalı Fountain, and the town’s distinctive historic houses and mansions. The program concluded with a visit to the 700-year-old Germiyan Mansion, followed by a relaxing break among the vineyards of the Burnt Land region. Providing participants with a rewarding cultural and social experience, the trip came to an end with many memorable moments and lasting impressions.
