OUR 1ST GRADERS VISITED THE ÖRNEKKÖY AWARENESS CENTRE 06.10.2026

As part of the “Who We Are” unit, our Grade 1 students explored the theme of “Respect for Differences” and visited the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Örnekköy Awareness Centre to deepen their understanding through first-hand experience. During the visit, our students learned about different types of disabilities and had the opportunity to explore the diverse experiences and needs of individuals. They discovered that differences are a natural and enriching part of life while developing their ability to empathize, understand others’ experiences, and become more socially aware. This meaningful experience helped our students connect the values of respect, empathy, and inclusion to their everyday lives and supported their development as individuals who appreciate and respect differences.
