MARCH 18 – COMMEMORATION OF THE ÇANAKKALE VICTORY AND THE MARTYRS 12.03.2026

March 18 tells the story of the unparalleled heroism displayed by the Turkish nation in defense of its homeland. On the 111th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, we once again feel in our hearts the sacrifice of the Mehmetçik who shed his blood for the homeland. This victory stands as a symbol of the Turkish nation’s struggle for its country in unity and solidarity. The Mehmetçik rushed to the front not only with his weapon, but also with his courage, faith, and deep love for his homeland. The Turkish nation showed great resistance against the enemy and achieved a victory rarely seen in history. Today, by commemorating this victory, we are reminded that every challenge can be overcome through unity and togetherness. We remember our martyrs and veterans with gratitude and renew our promise to preserve forever the legacy of independence and freedom they entrusted to us.
