GUIDING THE YKS JOURNEY: A PARENT SEMINAR FOR UNIVERSITY PREPARATION 03.06.2026

To help our students navigate the university preparation process in a more informed, structured, and healthy way, our High School Guidance Counselor organized a parent seminar titled “Being a Guide Throughout the YKS Journey.” During the seminar, parents were provided with information on the YKS system and the overall structure of the examination, including the TYT, AYT, and YDT components. Topics such as planning the summer period, providing supportive and pressure-free parental guidance, understanding parents’ roles and attitudes during the examination process, establishing effective study routines, selecting appropriate resources and practice exams, and preparing for university preferences and career planning were also discussed. The seminar aimed to strengthen collaboration between school and family, ensuring that students receive the support they need throughout this important stage of their academic journey.
