DISCOVERING THE LIVING GULF: LEARNING ABOUT NATURE, PROTECTING THE FUTURE 09.06.2026

Following their Gulf excursion in Bayraklı, İzmir, our ELC students met with Mr. Murat Kaptan at our school to further explore the concept of the “Living Gulf.” Through Mr. Kaptan’s remarkable photographs, students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of marine species that inhabit the Gulf and contribute to maintaining the health and cleanliness of its waters. The session provided valuable insights into the region’s unique ecosystem and the important role each living organism plays within it. This enriching experience helped our students deepen their understanding of the Gulf ecosystem, strengthen their environmental awareness, and reflect on the actions individuals and communities can take to support a more sustainable future.
