APRIL 23 NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY WALK ON THE EFELER ROUTE BY OUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS 21.04.2026

Our high school students completed a meaningful hike along the Kerpiçlik–Lübbey stage of the Efeler Route, dressed in red and white, to honor the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day and to commemorate the teachers and students who lost their lives in the recent school attacks. Located in Ödemiş, İzmir, and leading to the “ghost village” of Lübbey, this route is one of the Efeler Route’s moderate-level nature and history trails, spanning approximately 15 kilometers with an elevation difference of 700–1000 meters. Our students demonstrated strong performance by completing an approximately 18-kilometer track with a 1,050-meter elevation gain in under six hours. We congratulate our students on successfully completing this challenging route.
