My dear Head Teacher, My esteemed President, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Today, we have brought you the flowers of İzmir. They have come from İzmir—where the first bullet for independence was fired—to reaffirm their primary duty. Before you now stand determined, conscientious, and enlightened young people— shining with the light you ignited, ready to leave their mark on the future guided by your principles. Freedom was your character; it became our guiding principle. Independence was your cause; it became our passion. The Republic was your greatest work; it became our crown. Science and contemporary civilization were your goal; they became our path. They are here today— wearing our school uniforms, with caps upon their heads and gowns upon their shoulders— to pledge that they will run toward the goals you set and carry the Republic of Türkiye into a bright and hopeful future.
