A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL DAY WITH THE “MATH CHALLENGE” EVENT! 12.02.2026

Organized in collaboration with the Mathematics Department of our school and Dokuz Eylül University Buca Faculty of Education, the Math Challenge event invited our Grade 9 students to explore the engaging and thought-provoking world of mathematics. Throughout the day, students participated in activities designed in line with MYP criteria and aligned with mathematics learning outcomes, enjoying the opportunity to develop their ATL skills. As part of this initiative, our students enrolled in the school’s Mathematics EGPs, together with senior students from the Department of Mathematics Education at Dokuz Eylül University Buca Faculty of Education, will recreate the Math Challenge event at an Anatolian high school in Buca using the games we developed. We would like to thank the pre-service mathematics teachers who contributed to this social responsibility project, as well as the esteemed faculty member Prof. Dr. Esra Bukova Güzel, for their valuable support and contributions.
