A CREATIVE AND JOYFUL EXPERIENCE WITH OUR MUSIC WALL 06.04.2026
With our ELC students, we had previously explored the sounds produced by different materials during our Art & Piazza lessons and, in collaboration with the music class, created a music wall. Throughout this process, our students had the opportunity to distinguish between high and low sounds by examining recycled materials. Drawing on the working principles of musical instruments, they used these materials to design unique arrangements composed of a variety of sounds. For some time, our students have been using the music wall during outdoor play to practice rhythm, and they later carried these experiences into their music lessons. In class, they accompanied a song they had learned by keeping rhythm using both the music wall they created and real musical instruments. Through this experience, our students engaged in a fun and meaningful learning process where they expressed their creativity and enjoyed learning through music.
