A CLOSER LOOK AT THE SUN DURING WORLD SPACE WEEK 06.10.2026

As part of World Space Week, our students had the opportunity to observe the Sun up close during a telescope observation activity conducted in collaboration with the Asteria Space team. Using a specialized H-alpha telescope, students observed solar eruptions, while a solar-filtered optical telescope allowed them to examine details of the Sun’s surface. Equipped with protective solar viewing glasses, they enjoyed a safe and engaging experience filled with discovery. Following the observation session, the Turkish Amateur Radio Society (TRAC) delivered an informative presentation on the purpose of amateur radio and its role in facilitating communication across the world, in space, and among people. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved for their valuable contributions to this enriching event.
