100 TREES, ONE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE 11.09.2026

Our Parent-Teacher Association has contributed to the preservation of the region’s natural heritage and the support of the local economy by purchasing 100 mastic tree saplings as part of the My Mastic Tree Çeşme Project. The saplings will be planted in November during an event with the participation of our volunteer students and families. The mastic trees are expected to begin producing mastic in approximately five years. Once they mature, the mastic will be harvested by local women and brought into the local economy through a cooperative. The project aims to contribute to environmental conservation, support women’s employment and the regional economy, and promote the cultivation of the mastic tree, one of Çeşme’s important natural assets.
