LEARNING SOCIAL MEMORY ON SITE: VISIT TO THE MIGRATION AND POPULATION EXCHANGE MEMORIAL HOUSE 12.01.2026

Our Grade 7 students visited the Migration and Population Exchange Memorial House, where they had the opportunity to observe the historical processes of migration and population exchange firsthand. Through the photographs, documents, and personal belongings on display, our students gained a deeper understanding of the hardships experienced during the exchange period and the emotional journeys of those who lived through it. Thanks to this meaningful visit, our students made important gains in developing empathy, strengthening their historical awareness, and recognizing the significance of collective memory. The topics covered in class became more tangible through this experience, turning into lasting learning.
