BOOK REPAIR CENTRE OPENED AT ELC! 24.10.2025

It all began when our students discovered an old, worn-out book in the Remida area. As they carefully examined it, their curiosity sparked a series of questions: “Why do you think this book is torn?”, “How can we fix it?”, “What materials do we need to repair it?” These questions led them to investigate, experiment, and create. Before long, they all agreed on one exciting idea: Let’s set up our own Book Repair Centre! The children gathered the necessary materials. They collected the old books from the school library. They designed posters, and displayed them around the school to inform the entire Işıkkent community. They were thrilled to collaborate with other classes and share their work. Now, they are eager to continue this meaningful project and “heal” many more books in the coming months!
