EXPLORING THE CONCEPT OF COMMUNITY THROUGH ART 28.11.2025

In line with our central idea, “Belonging to a community helps us understand our identity and our place in the world,” our students formed various communities based on their personal interests. As part of this learning experience, we organised a Community Guest Meeting to help them explore these groups more deeply. This week, within the Arts Community, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ms Sülün Duyulur to our school to speak about the art of ballet and the ballet community. Together, we engaged in an enjoyable and meaningful conversation about how a ballet community is formed, the purposes that bring its members together, and the roles and responsibilities within such a community. Through this guest interaction, our students were able to make stronger connections with our unit and gained a deeper understanding of the concept of community, supporting their ongoing inquiry and strengthening their PYP learning experience
